My fishing experience began as a kid fishing for trout, reds and flounder in Galveston Bay, Texas. I Moved to Vermont in my teens and fly fished for trout in streams and rivers there. This was nice, however, I had already been spoiled with the memory of the power of saltwater fishing. While attending my first year of college, 17 years ago, I came to Key West for Spring Break, and like many others, I stayed. During that trip I hooked a 2 foot barracuda on a fly. The lightning speed and aerial show he gave was astounding and within 3 months, I had a kayak and fished any time I could. This too was wonderful fishing but I could not reach the expansive flats on the Gulf. I bought my boat new in 1993 and have been fishing ever since. So with a lifetime of fishing and 17 years locally, I know where the fish prowl. Trust me to guide you to your Key West trophy.
